It is time that Sole and his wife came back from his well-deserved vacation ... I'm already looking forward to his homemade calamari. Haven't eaten it anywhere in this delicious form, the fries are also very good and hot until the end - the salad is super dressed. My mouth is watering as I write ... You have to wait a bit, but the dishes are freshly prepared. Of course, you have to reserve in advance. Often you meet the same guests and it feels like meeting old friends. The conversation often takes place simultaneously with several guests from different tables. What have we laughed heartily? Thanks to the good cooks ... for Sole I would like him to have a waitress who relieves him and so he can spend more time with the guests. See you again ... see you soon! Greetings Monika

Super delicious and authentic, food like in Greece! I would highly recommend it. The restaurant owner is very warm in his Greek way and is friendly to all of his guests. Most of the time there is a lot going on and you have to wait a bit for your meal, but the food is also freshly prepared on site.

My favorite restaurant in Baden Württemberg The Socrates tavern is one of the last bastions of authentic Greek cuisine in Germany. In my opinion, the atmosphere, quality, presentation and taste of the dishes are unbeatable. In the outside area (new terrace) it felt like a short trip in the alleys of Chalkidiki. The owner takes care of each guest personally and is very authentic and direct. Of course, it takes a little longer than usual, but that's a good thing. I will definitely come again and warmly recommend the Socrates tavern to friends and acquaintances.

Reserved for outside but got a seat inside, once and never again. 1 hour until drinks arrive 2. hour wait for the food and the food is terrible, so on the whole note 6 would not even dream of recommending it. And I love to eat greek but not there. I'm really sorry, but that is nothing compared to other Greek restaurants. A total of 3 hours Lost my life and a bunch of money. Fish plate around 20 € and portions small. I'm really disappointed - 1stern

Fantastic food, nice conversation with the host (you have to understand the humor 😉), you can take a little break in the restaurant. We always go back with friends and enjoy the time, because you have to be patient at times. But that's exactly what slows down life.

The host is rude, overwhelmed and cheeky. He doesn't respond to his guests at all. My friend asked for Zaziki ... the landlord got the menu ... threw it on the table and said: Here, look what you ordered !? My daughter didn't want a coleslaw with the selected dish ... the landlord started a discussion ... what kind of salad she wanted ... he thought it would be part of it ... then after a long time it was a farmer's salad which then cost an additional 7 euros. We didn't feel like it anymore and wanted to pay right after dinner ... we got a card and added up and came to 73 euros. The landlord came to 80.50 euros ... we politely asked if he could show us the receipt ... then he got stupid again and ran away from us. We got fed up and put the money on the table and left.

Chef takes a lot of getting used to ...., reordering costs extra, portions too small for the price, even with the gyros, mine Mousake was unfortunately from the freezer (potatoes very gritty) and in the end still 2 € too much. I cannot recommend this restaurant

The ambience is very appealing and I feel totally comfortable. The food is fantastic. The innkeeper is charming and very entertaining. All in all, it is our favorite restaurant. Highly recommended!

If you want to eat really bad and overpriced, you are in good hands here. If you want to wait a long time for unfriendly service, then you have come to the right place!

Unfortunately, the star rating does not go into the minus range. I have never experienced such a disastrous visit to a Greek restaurant. After a brief hand movement of the owner to greet us, we looked around the room and noted to our amazement that, however, our pre-made telephone call was almost nothing was going on. We chose a table a bit away from the remaining 4 guests to be undisturbed. With a loud palaver, the landlord approached us to explain that everything was reserved there. But even after a long search, I found no Reserviert signs on the tables. To avoid more discussion, we went after him to let him give us a seat. This table was the first in the room, in the middle of the entrance, not cleared and dirty. We decided to change to a "clean" table. We just wanted to sit down and, after 20 minutes of searching for space, finally order something to drink, when we were again referred to the "cat table" in a very rude way. By now our appetite had passed and we decided to leave the restaurant. But even that did not seem to suit the host, because instead of just letting go, he asked insolently, "What's your problem?" We explained briefly that we wanted to go and snotty came to the answer: "Is better that way!" Such an experience has never occurred to me. The owner is hopelessly overwhelmed, gives his guests the feeling not to be welcome. I think that if you have arrived as a host times at this point, then you should hang this industry on the nail. Because gastronomy has nothing to do !!!!

Eat fine food as always. Better Greek eaten nowhere. Reservations should be very busy because of the good food. To recommend the plate for 2 or 4 people.

Criticism always reflects an attitude. I can understand that not everyone likes the charm of the seventies. We love to come, because the food is delicious and I like it when the boss sits down to take the order to the table. Especially I can recommend the appetizers. Try the eggplant or the fried sheep's cheese. The peasant salad is always good.
